General Terms and Conditions and Instructions for Booking Accommodation

Terms of use - rules and instructions
 
You can use the online booking services immediately after registering and logging in on the website www.hostin.hr
 
Step 1 - Accommodation search
You do not have to be logged in to find accommodation in the desired period and location.
By visiting the site, you can start searching for the accommodation you want to book.

Step 2 - Accommodation selection
When you have successfully found the required accommodation, press the “Book” button to select the accommodation.

Step 3 - Selection of order processing – credit card payment
When you have selected the “Book” button, you come to the next step in which you pay for accommodation with your credit card. You will receive an e-mail once you have made a successful payment.

General Terms and Conditions
The guest undertakes in writing or verbally to fully accept these Terms and Conditions of Booking, which they have previously carefully studied. Upon check-in, and for the purpose of booking the selected service, the guest guarantees their booking by paying an advance by credit card or bank transfer in the amount of 20% of the agreed amount, unless otherwise stated in the offer. The difference to the full price of the arrangement is paid at the location in HRK, unless otherwise stated in the offer.

When paying online, it is necessary to pay the full amount of the stay.
  • The minimum stay during July and August is 5 days
  • The minimum stay during other months is 3 days
  • Additional payment for shorter stay amounts to 20% of the price per night
  • Children under the age of 3 may stay free of charge
  • Additional payment for a baby bed amounts to EUR 8 / HRK 60 per day (Poreč, Tisno)
  • Additional payment for pets amounts to EUR 8 / HRK 60 per day (Duga Uvala, Gajac, Tisno)
  • Extended stay (until 5 p.m.) amounts to 30% of the price per night
  • Day room (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) amounts to 60% of the price per night
  • The price of renting an apartment includes bed linen, water, electricity, final cleaning and change of bed linen every 7 days
  • In Gajac, it is mandatory to pay a deposit in the amount of EUR 100 for damage incurred, which is refunded at check-out if there was no damage to the apartment
  • Prices for Hotel Flores**** Poreč are expressed per person per day
  • Prices for apartments are expressed per apartment per day
  • Sojourn tax is not included in the price
  • VAT is included in the price
  • In the event of a change in the exchange rate, we reserve the right to change the prices
  • Hostin destinations include the Flores Hotel in Poreč, Hostin Apartments in Duga Uvala and Gajac on the island of Pag, and the Hostin Tisno apartment complex and camp near the island of Murter.
SERVICE PRICE
The valid price of the service is indicated in the offer received through the Online booking system or from the booking department. Contracted services may not be combined with other promotional offers or packages, unless otherwise agreed. In case of any changes or deviations from the booked services, regular prices will be charged. Refunds are not possible for services that have not been used. All types of special services that are not included in the price are paid by the guest and they are obliged to order them when booking the stay or upon request at the location. Prices expressed in euro are indicative. We reserve the right to deny, cancel or change a booking if there has been a misuse of the booking system or it was obviously made by user’s mistake.

PAYMENT METHODS
 
Credit card payment: MasterCard, Visa.

All accommodation prices on the websites include VAT. In case of incorrect payment of the amount, the company HOSTIN d.o.o. shall ensure the refund of the excess amount to the payer's account.

PAYMENT THROUGH OUR WEBSITES IS SECURE!

We use the ePay service for Internet payment provided by the company Globaldizajn d.o.o., which uses the state-of-the-art technologies of protection against misuse, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security protocol and other technologies and security procedures according to the highest standards in the industry. The exchange of private data between the online payment system and the authorization centres of card companies is performed using a network that is completely protected from unauthorized access. Sensitive credit card information is submitted online directly to the authorization centre.


PAYMENT BY FOREIGN CREDIT CARD
 
The amount to be charged to your foreign credit card is calculated by converting the currency from euro (EUR) to Croatian kuna (HRK) according to the applicable exchange rate of Privredna Banka Zagreb at the purchase date. When debiting your credit card, the same amount will be converted into your local currency according to the exchange rate list of the credit card association. As a result of this conversion, there is a possibility of a small discrepancy between the price indicated in our online store.


Types of prices and booking cancellation terms
If the guest cancels the booking, HOSTIN d.o.o. will:
  • for cancellations up to 30 days before arrival, refund the advance less any refund costs
  • for cancellations made 29 days before arrival and later, retain the full advance, except in case of 'force majeure'.
The stated cancellation costs do not apply to changes in the accommodation facility, i.e. the type of room, provided that they have been confirmed by HOSTIN d.o.o. If the guest who cancels the trip finds a new user for the same booking, HOSTIN d.o.o. shall charge only the potential costs incurred by the substitution.

ARRIVAL  / DEPARTURE
The room is available from 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. The room will be booked until 8 p.m. In case of later arrival, please contact the hotel front desk; otherwise, we do not guarantee the provision of contracted services. The room should be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

TAXES
Sojourn tax is not included in the service price. The amount of the sojourn tax is indicated next to the service price lists.
Children up to 12 years of age are exempt from payment thereof, and young people aged 12-18 pay 50% of the tax.

PRICE CHANGE
HOSTIN d.o.o. reserves the right to change the prices if there has been a change in exchange rates in relation to the date of publishing the prices (for more than 0.5%), as well as in case of changes in tariffs of business partners. HOSTIN d.o.o. may inform the guest about the price change in writing or verbally. The guest can cancel the trip without paying for the cancellation cost if there is a price increase of more than 10% compared to the agreed price, and no later than 48 hours after the receipt of a written notice. If the guest does not cancel the booking in person or in writing within the specified period, it is considered that they have agreed to the price change. The published prices are the result of the contract between HOSTIN d.o.o. and its partners and they do not have to correspond to the prices displayed at the destination where the guest is staying.

DOCUMENTATION AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Documentation is sent to the guest via the Internet, fax or mail (as agreed), and it includes confirmation of the booking and contracted services, if the service has been guaranteed by advance payment.
Guests are required to possess valid travel documents. If invalid documents result in cancellation of the trip and damages are incurred to HOSTIN d.o.o. due to such omission of the guest, the guest shall compensate the said damage. If the travel documents are lost or stolen during the trip, the costs of issuing new documents are borne by the guest. HOSTIN d.o.o. is not responsible for the decisions of the customs, police and other state authorities which deny the guest’s entry to a particular country.

CATEGORIZATION AND DESCRIPTIONS OF THE FACILITIES
The offered accommodation and other capacities are described according to the official categorization of the Republic of Croatia valid at the time of issuing the program according to the data of HOSTIN d.o.o. or according to the data sent by the partner facilities to HOSTIN d.o.o. HOSTIN d.o.o. does not undertake responsibility for any verbal or written information that is not in accordance with the description of services and facilities stated in the published programs received from a third party. HOSTIN d.o.o. is not responsible for incorrect data provided by their business partners.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
The arrangement of rooms or suites is determined by the front desk at the location of stay. If the guest has not explicitly contracted a room with special features, they shall accept any officially registered accommodation unit available for rent in a particular facility described in the catalogue and the price list. Accommodation in the room is not possible before 2 p.m. on the day of service commencement, and it shall be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of service termination. Arrivals after 8 p.m. must be announced in advance, otherwise HOSTIN d.o.o. does not guarantee the provision of the service, unless otherwise stated.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE AND CUSTOM REGULATIONS
Guests are required to comply with the foreign exchange and customs regulations, as well as laws and other bylaws of the Republic of Croatia and other countries through which they pass.

COMPLAINTS
It is in the guest's best interest to try to resolve their complaint immediately at the destination. If there is no improvement even after the complaint, the guest must request a confirmation which proves that the service was not provided, or that it was not provided in the manner agreed. The guest must attach the confirmation to their written complaint. The guest is obliged to file a written complaint within 8 days after the end of the trip. If the guest files a written complaint after that deadline, HOSTIN d.o.o. is not obliged to process such a complaint. HOSTIN d.o.o. is obliged to issue a written decision on the said complaint. HOSTIN d.o.o. shall process only those complaints that could not be resolved at the location. While the settlement procedure is in progress, the guest irrevocably waives the mediation of any other person, arbitration of any other institution, as well as the disclosure of information to the media. Furthermore, during this period, the guest waives the right to a litigation. The highest amount of compensation per complaint may reach the amount of the part of the services which is the subject of the complaint, and shall not include already used services or the entire amount of the arrangement. Guest and HOSTIN d.o.o. shall resolve all the disputes amicably, otherwise the competence of the County Court in Zagreb is hereby determined. The applicable law is the Croatian law.

OBLIGATIONS OF HOSTIN d.o.o.
HOSTIN d.o.o. is obliged to handle the provision of services, as well as the selection of service providers, with due care of a prudent businessman and take care of the rights and interests of the guest in accordance with good practice in tourism. They are obliged to provide the guest with all contracted services within a particular arrangement and provide explanations for any services or part of services that have not been performed. All the aforementioned obligations from their programs shall be performed in full and in the manner described, except in case of 'force majeure', adverse weather conditions or changed circumstances. If possible, HOSTIN d.o.o. will offer a substitute solution in such cases. HOSTIN d.o.o. is not obliged to provide services outside the subject Terms and Conditions.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE GUEST
The guest is obliged to personally fulfill the conditions stipulated by the regulations of the Republic of Croatia, and to adhere to the rules of conduct in hotels and other facilities, as well as to cooperate with the representative of the service provider. The guest is responsible for the damage they have caused, and especially for the damage that occurred as a result of non-compliance with the contract and these general terms and conditions. The damage caused by the guest shall be settled immediately at the hotel front desk or another location determined by the natural or legal person to whom they have incurred the damage.

FINAL PROVISIONS
These general Terms and Conditions for booking accommodation are an integral part of the Agreement concluded between the guest and Hostin d.o.o. Possible/expected deviations from these Terms and Conditions must be indicated next to the text of the offer. By paying the advance, the guest fully accepts the Terms and Conditions and Instructions for Booking Accommodation.
